Frontier Aggregates is a mining operation that produces washed sand and gravel from the San Jacinto river in Montgomery County, Texas, adjacent to north Harris County. The operation is situated to service three Frontier Materials Concrete plants as well as concrete operations in north Harris and south Montgomery Counties. We also provide bank sand, select fill and top soils to the general marketplace. All Frontier employees are certified by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). The mining operation utilizes a DSC 860 Shark Cutter head dredge that pumps material to an Eagle Iron Works classifying plant. The classifying plant separates and produces concrete sand, mason sand and river gravel.
