Harper Industries provides customers with top quality structural, architectural, and special project metal fabrication services. We are A.I.S.C. certified. With concentration on beam, heavy gauge, and plate fabrication (16 gauge to 12” thick), Harper affiliate Precision Steel features the large capacity metal working equipment to provide accurate, timely solutions to all metal fabrication needs. With a broad range of completed projects in carbon and stainless steels, monel, hastelloy, aluminum, and various alloys, we have expertise in a variety of steel applications. The company’s capabilities include: welding, braking, rolling, shearing, sawing, grinding, punching, sand blasting, painting, plasma and oxyfuel cutting. We hold the ASME “U” stamp for custom design and manufacture of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, condensers, after-coolers, receivers, heat recovery systems, evaporators, separators and oil coolers. PS also has the national board “R” Stamp for repair of pressure vessels and boilers. We also have a barge operation located on the Tennessee River, and we specialize in custom barges up to 1800 horsepower.

Barges

Harper Industries also build custom barges through its affiliate, CC Marineworks.With operations located adjacent to the Ohio River, in an area known throughout the country as the barge capital of the United States, we have assembled a dream “marine team” of highly skilled craftsmen and marine industry-seasoned veterans to build custom-designed and spec deck and spud barges of all sizes to accommodate the industry demand for quality-built vessels that can be delivered within weeks instead of years! We also specializes in drydock fabrication of various sizes.

Kirby Welding Company

Harper Industries affiliate, Kirby Welding company, provides a wide range of custom fabrication, welding and repair services on a variety of equipment. We specialize in custom welding, including: pattern burning, plasma arc cutting, stainless and aluminum welding. We also have mobile welding trucks staffed with certified welders that provide field welding services throughout Tenn. We have expertise in structural steel repair. We perform bridge beam straightening, pipe and channel straightening, I-beam and column straightening and on-site installation. Additionally, break machine forming, metal shears, rolling steel plate, conveyor frames, custom fabrications and work on plant structures are routine services that we provide. Kirby carries a full line of truck accessories like tool boxes, hitches and components, brush guards and van bin interiors, and we service new truck bodies and flats. Our employees have years of experience repairing contractor’s equipment, including: crane booms, backhoe’s, mining equipment, dredging equipment, clamshell buckets, rock crushing equipment and much more.
